HI, IM KINSEY
AND IM SO GLAD YOU ARE HERE
I am the wearer of all the hats behind Homes by Kinsey!
My day to day occupations consist of being a real estate photographer & agent, transaction coordinator, website creator, interior designer/exclusive agent for Red Leaf Custom Homes, brand creator specialized for local realtors, and more!
BUT HOW DID I GET HERE?
heres how..
Growing up, I was always actively involved in sports and different activities that kept me very busy which led me to grow and adapt to many different environments! After high school I started coaching a high school team and decided to persue college at MSUM for early childhood education and within the first semester I knew it just wasn't the career path that was meant for me. SO after that, I started working full time at a local BDUBS and fast forward a year later I packed my bags and moved to Newport News, Virginia!
The experience of leaving my hometown was amazing. I learned a lot about myself along the way, met a ton of awesome people and got to live close to my mom and family! 5 months later, I decided it was more of a "stay-cation" as I didn't see VA as my forever home. So, I packed my car again and drove back to ND and went back to BDUBS full time.
Fast forward a year: I started to get this nagging gut feeling (you might know the one)…
A feeling that I was heading down a path I did not want to be on for the rest of my life.
At first I loved the restaurant industry. I knew it was only temporary but after the pandemic hit, let’s get really honest…it was miserable.
The work environment completely changed as i'm sure you are aware but I needed out.
So. I decided the only thing that was going to get me closer to my “why” was to go searching for it.
Why am I telling you all this?
Because it’s never too late or too early to make the most of your life, friend :)
After some serious soul searching and a pep talk from my dad…
I invested all of my time, money and energy into getting my real estate license in the summer of 2020!
When I started, I was taking my own listing photos with little knowledge about real estate photography. I was doing this to save money on a professional photographer but knew I needed to put more effort into educating myself because listing photos are a huge first impression to potential buyers. (I spend a lot of time learning on the university of google lol).
Soon after, other real estate professionals started reaching out for my services and it continued to grow from there! I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone countless times but..
I CAN WHOLEHEARTEDLY SAY I HAVE FOUND MY CALLING, MY PASSION AND MY PEOPLE.
SO, what am I up too now?
I do my best to juggle it all..but, it seems like there's never enough hours in a day!
I truly love what I do, but when I'm not working and have an ounce of free time here's a few things that I love to do...
