Decorative spice jars

Spice-3.jpg

My love my little spice cabinet because it is super accessible and makes cooking so much more enjoyable!

I found the vintage cabinet for sale on Ebay and the jars were found on amazon (linked here, and here) as well as the label maker (linked here).

  • Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth.

  • In a greased pan over medium heat, add batter to make 4-inch pancakes.

Lunch/ Dinner:

Zuppa Toscana:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lbs Italian sausage meat

  • 1 onion finely diced

  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

  • 3 cups low sodium chicken broth

  • 1.5 lbs Russet or gold potatoes peeled and diced

  • 2 cups chopped kale (or spinach)

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

  • 3/4 cup cream

  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes optional, for extra spice

Directions:

  • In a medium sauce pan add a small drizzle of oil, onion, and sausage (crumbling as it cooks).  Drain well, then transfer to medium/large stock pot.

  • Add garlic, mix well.

  • Pour in chicken stock, stirring as you pour.  Add in potatoes and bring to a boil.

  • Gently boil about 15 minutes, or until potatoes are fork-tender.  Add in heavy cream, kale, and parmesan cheese.  Stir and cook 5 minutes until kale is wilted.

  • Taste and season with salt, pepper and red pepper flakes if desired.  Enjoy!
